I was accepted to Drexel's Honors program and was wondering how good it is. Is it really hard to get into? I applied to NYU but would rather stay in Philly and i was wondering how they compare so i don't give up a much better program.

As long as you had a certain H.S. GPA and SAT score your invited to the Honors Program at Drexel. We have a pretty good school and we are on the quarter system so thats something to take into account. My advice check out both schools, look at tuition, use the alumni contact options and see how the graduates in your interest area fair. Good luck in your decision making process. If you decide NYU its really only 1 and 1/2 hours away!

Drexel is certainly a good school -- but hardly one of the country's GREAT universities. US News ranks it #112 -- making it a strong second tier university.

NYU, on the other hand is one of the best schools in the country. US News ranks it as #34 -- but it has many programs in the top ten.

If you get into NYU, you ought to go there instead of Drexel.

Greenwich Village is much more interesting than West Philly. Think of it like being an expanded South Street with a great university attached. And it isn't like you are going that far away. New York is only two hours by train. You could pop down there for a cheese steak any time you like.

As a general rule, NYU is more prestigious than Drexel. NYU generally has worse financial aid though, too.

Only you can make the call whether staying close to home is worse the slight reduction in school prestige. Drexel, however, is still a good school, and I if I were you (assuming I wanted to stay at home), I'd attend Drexel over NYU.
