I hate to break it to you but right now, there's not too much you can do. All if the ideas you're suggesting would of been more beneficial if you had known you were going to come in contact with someone who had the flu. If you haven't already, wash your hands frequentley, and keep them below your neck. Sleep at least 8 hours. Take at least 1000mg of vitamin c, and drink tons tons tons of water. Don't eat foods high in fat. Eat lots of fruit and vegetables. I've been in your position before so I know what the deal is. I didn't get sick. But as I said before, most of the ideas suggested are precautionary not preventative after exposure(if you got the virus in your system, and your immune system didn't fight it off)

Take a daily multi vitamin.
Most docs recommend uping your vitamin C intake to 1500mg if your trying to fight off something.
Echinecia also helps,
They make gummy vitamins that are echinecia and vitamin C
My kids get those during cold season.
I also keep a small bottle of purell on my keychain, I have my kids wash their hands with it when were out and my 2 year old has a cart cover so he doesnt touch the germy cart.

You can try a saline rinse in your nose; washing our nose out with salt water will help remove bacteria (you buy this at the drug store...you can make it, but it burns like crazy, 1tea./cup water). And use a humidifier so your sinuses and lungs don't get dried out with warmed air. Drink lots of fluids. The idea is to keep the mucous from getting thick and keeping bacteria and viruses "stuck" in your respiratory track. I think you can also take those zinc losenges, but honestly, if you're infected, you're infected. If you do, please do everyone you know a service, and keep the virus to yourself...stay home! If you don't, go get your flu shot asap!

Eat some bananas. Bananas actually have more Vitamin C in them than oranges, and orange juice can actually help promote the disease. Stick to bananas.

wash your hands. then wash them again. And then wash them again. LOL!
No, seriously though.. Wash your hands ALL the time, especially before you eat anything. And try to make a habit of not touching your face if you can help it. Germs enter your body through the mouth/eyes/nose.

I would say just make sure to eat healthy and above all, don't let yourself get run down-get plenty of sleep!
The healthier you are the more likely your immune system will fight it off.
