People keep telling me im too childish and that I should act my age. Not telling my age but Im an elementary school teacher which makes me an adult. I own a Nintendo DS and was first in line on November 19 to buy the Nintendo Wii on launch day. My kids (13 and 10) love it that Mom plays videogames and their friends are psyched that their mom plays when theirs dont even know what a memory card is.

Are you kidding? Even when you've died of old age you're still young enough to play video games. I actually plan to design/program video games and make a career of it. =D I dunno why people think that only kids and teens should play video games.

There is no age too old for video games. Many video games are aimed at adults anyways so obviously the market is just for children. Don't worry. Many, many adults play video games and this also provides social relief for your children as they become "cool" to have awesome parents who play video games. I so wish mine would but my dad once told me, "He would although he was an addict to the primitive games that were out when he was a child so he doesn't even want to return to video games, especially not these new ones with beautiful graphics and etc."

First off I wanna say Wow thats awesome that your a mom and into video games.

Now I know many many adults that are into Video Games, plain an simple their FUN.

Some people are just too narrowminded, when they see a kid doing something they think its childish when they realy just need to grow up and learn how to have fun at the same time.

IM 37 and I play video games. My mom is over 50 and she calls me for advice when she is stuck while she plays vidoe games. SO i dont think its a matter of age. Is a matter of making sure the things that you need to do are done and what ever you do on your free time is your choice.

I would love it if my parents play videogames, so then they can also be interested buying games and stuff, but since they dont i have to spend my own money to buy my games, but i think its never too old, alot of games are created for mature audience. I had a friend whose dad was interested in the Wii, and so he bought his own wii and one for his son as well.

I'm 58 and I very much enjoy my video games. So much so that I wasn't doing more important things that I had to do. So I got rid of them. Don't let them become an addiction. I miss my games, but I don't dare play one at,lets say,a neighbors house. Because if I do,I just might have to go out and buy another one.
So what do I do now? Yahoo Answers! Lord help me.

I think its great when adults play video games. My husband is 53 and plays World of Warcraft with our two sons who are 23 and 17. I think its a great way for them to keep channels of communication open and to share something they have in common, other than watching sports.

you are never too old to do anything that you enjoy, especially something that doesn't involve taking a risk at your health. Enjoy your life and do not worry what others think, they are probably jealous that you still want to play the game!

you are not too old to be playing video games as long as you don't let it consume vast portions of your day, video games are fine for all ages but stay away from world of warcraft, that will become a black hole which sucks your life away

You are never too old to be young at heart. ;)

I'm not that young either, but I can see myself playing video games until the day I die.
