You should talk to your school's guidance counselor. And don't let him/her tell you that you aren't college material. That is so wrong.

Even if a student's grades aren't good enough for the almighty four-year college, there are still a large number of community colleges where you can enroll and earn your general education credits while working and saving money for higher degrees.

Anyone can attend college. It's up to you how hard you work and how badly you want the education.

Watch for college fairs in your area. We visit high schools on a regular basis. I'm sure the colleges in your area do the same.

Work hard on your general education classes so that you don't have to waste time and money on academic advancement courses when you do enroll in college.

Good luck.

You are going to want to take all the history and science classes. I reccomend psychology, sociology, understanding different cultures (like African Issues and Exploring Middle East at my school), and biology courses. Psychology is a mixture of how the chemicals in the brain make it function and how people think.

Does you school offer child psychology as a course? Or even child development...either one would be a great start. After that, try sociology, if available. Good luck!
