Teenagers need almost as much sleep as infants/toddlers do. Most teenagers do not get enough sleep.
Teenagers need at least 8 hours of sleep each and every night AND naps periodically....too.

The best is 8 but no less than 6. It also depends on the person. Some people can go on 4 but others get moody if they don't get enough sleep.

I did a science project on this, and 8 hours of sleep proved the best. 10 hours was too much, and everybody was "slower" than 8 hours, so I'd say that's the best. Also, 7 hours wasn't enough. The people, too, were "slower."
