My name is Linh K. Pham and I am merely 17 years old. I am currently attending my final year at Kennedy Collegiate Institute in Windsor, Ontario and am looking forward to studying Law in September 07. I have spent great effort and time maintaining a high average throughout high school and am pleased that reputable schools in the UK were willing to accept me into their Law programmes.

From the first day that I volunteered at that Law Office in Toronto, I have recognized that a Law Degree would allow you to make a difference in someone else's life. I have ultimately planned to use the skills and experience I gain from my 3 years in the UK to benefit society in general when I return to either Canada or the US.

Are there any scholarships that would cover part of the tuition/ living expenses? My father says that he will be able to cover some of the costs, but I am unsure of how much. I feel that a scholarship would win me not only my father's respect, but my own self-confidence.

I'd have a look at this site, since it has valuable information for someone like yourself: http://www.ukcosa.org.uk/pages/advice.htm

And I'd also recommend that you email the university now to see if they can recommend any hardship funds or scholarships you can apply for. On top of that, check in your local area if there are any scholarships available for people who intend to apply to overseas universities.

PS- I wouldn't put so much personal information (especially your full name and school) on the web. It's too dangerous.

Start with the College Board's www.fastweb.com Complete the profile, then let the site search for scholarships for you. It will email you with options.

Then apply, and apply well. Most people don't. There are plenty of scholarships out there, but it will take hard work to apply.

Good luck and best wishes!

Dude seriously you just gave out a lot of private info on yourself to a huge audience please do not do that.

If you need scholarships you have the hugest portal of info right in front of you - the internet. You can probably get a loan and pay it back after graduation, or ask the school you are looking at they probably have a lot of info.
