Why did we come to this planet?
And the final evolution...

80% of humanity, the religious folks, don't need to ask the meaning of life, the church tells them....the supernatural explanation. But the rest of us can't swallow religious dogma, because there's no evidence. Nobody can prove that there life after death, that people are tortured or rewarded after life or that there's invisible spirits running around.

I've come to two conclusions recently:

1. Life has no meaning
2. Life has a million meanings.

First, there's a certainty that death and annihilation awaits not only you, but the Earth in general. It's an astonomical certainty that our sun will supernova and leave the earth a burnt crisp, not to mention all the other extinction level events around the corner.

Second, the million things that give us meaning are the pleasurable experiences we can conjure up during the short period we are here on the earth, in the form of the relationships we have with our kids and other people, and the 'housekeeping' types of purposes. What i mean by that are the curing disease, ending hunger, improving literacy, reducing crime, preventing war, helping other kinds of things.

So the bottom line is, we only have a temporary meaning to life, to reduce pain and increase pleasure, other than that everything is lost to oblivion.

To be or not to be? "To be" is temporary and "not to be" is inevitable.....

Well, my friend, that's a couple of questions that have a number of answers. Your first two questions about the ultimate goal of life and why we came to this planet are really basically the same question which I'll attempt to answer first. The most basic answer is this: to learn good and evil by your own experience. After this, you can break it down to subsets---like to find truth, happiness, live a good life, etc., but it all flows down from learning good and evil by your experience. This world is all about lots of opposites interwoven together that we need learn how to discern between. An actual belief in God, a correct understanding of who he is, and the assurance that the course of your life is pleasing to him makes sense of this. That's the nutshell version.

Now we come to your second question of the final evolution--I suppose you meant the evolution of mankind. Life never ends--which means it never started. We've always existed--in the very least as intelligence. I suppose to give a sufficient answer of where we're going after this life, you need to understand that we lived with God before we came to this earth. We lived with God in his world. We're all going back (when we die) to stand before him with an accounting of our thoughts and actions in this world. So, you've got that to look forward to. Jesus Christ made it possible for you to be resurrected (re-unite with your body) at some time after you die. Your judgement and final state will be in the hands of the God. If you've lived according to his revealed truth, you'll get to progress to become like him. Wouldn't that be cool. That's the ultimate goal. Now all of us fall short, it's true, but you've got to be the best you can be. The atonement of Christ is something you've got to learn a lot about to help out with your life's errors. So, the end of it all is---progression. There's so much more, but again, this is the nutshell version.

To be honest, I don't know what the ultimate goal of life is. I wish I did though.

I see no reason for a 'goal' as it were...I just try to live my life to the best of my ability. Why we are here or if there is a purpose for our life in general really doesn't matter to me.

My merely good objective in existence is to change into the very perfect human being i might want to be, and that i imagine it truly is not weighed in money, recognition, or any of the shallow issues that adult men use to flee their real selves. the hardest component to do is to be purpose about our own habit, and when we are open to improve, we get those style of possibilities to handle circumstances otherwise than we've contained in the previous. We get to strengthen and to evolve to a larger element of love and compassion for ourselves besides as others. If we stay diligent about understanding our complete potential, and existence is composed of an end with not something yet airborne dirt and mud to airborne dirt and mud, what have we lost? We easily can't take something with us, yet we are able to go away this global only slightly of further effective off than it change into earlier we got here alongside. previous Brutus suggested, "The evil that adult men do lives after them. the strong is many times interred in thei bones." the real that technique of happiness is getting to understand to stay contained in the on the spot and to savor it for what it truly is. when we stay our lives dedicated to the optimal and ideal strong of all, we received't fail, and if we are open and honest about understanding our potential, we will be bring about the position the position we favor to be. The universe merely takes position to artwork that way, and those that've placed it to the try are conscious of this regulation. to those who have not tried it, nicely, you extremely can't say till you supply it a try. those who study a thanks to be loving and variety are a lot happier and extra powerful, and those who have self assurance in God are in no way on my own.

Depending on your worldview...........the goal in my life is to do what Jesus taught. Live for Him. Make your life worth dying for. I mean........if someone died so you could live..........wouldn't that person want you to make something out of it? Isn't there some gratitude in that? Love the unlovable, forgive the unforgivable, stand up for what is right and protect the weak.
