Not easy and often impossible. You may ALWAYS love, but you can stop desiring. That you can do, with time.

It will be difficult to keep him off of your mind, however, I doubt you will ever truly forget him. Do you still remember your childhood crush? I know I still remember mine. But if you broke up with him and you are confident with the reason why, you will probably get him off of your mind a bit. Just occupy yourself, I know it is hard to get over someone, but you should not try to "forget" himcompletely, because now you realize that the guy you broke up with is the the kind of guy you want to go out with. You now know what to look for in a guy, and you have learned from your old love. Btw, one can never forget a person they love.

Well forgetting him will be difficult, but you've kinda solved your problem a little yourself by saying that he doesn't love you the way you should be loved - so if you do know that there's no point in hanging on to something that will only set you back. Move on, look forward - there's more ahead.

It's not possible to erase the past. Embrace it, learn from it. Then move on. Take what you need from the past, and use that knowledge and experience to make a better future for yourself. Learn from the past and move forward and be better! [:
