Shane Warne hit the ball towards the boundry. Two fielders went for it. One tossed it back from the edge but the other guy kicked it back over the rope. Was that a "fumble" or an "Overthrow"?

Warne had already run 2 or 3 before it was kicked over the line. with overthrows, it would be 4 + whatever was run. But when is it OVERTHROWS? Does it have to be thrown past the middle of the field?

If the ball touched the rope or crossed the rope, Warne should get 4 extra runs.
