Just want to get a unbiased and a very objective opinion from all of you.

1) What do you think of the current and future of SAP? As Oracle and Microsoft have started to get into the ERP industry with more eye-catching solutions, how will SAP withstand there?

2) What do you think about the SAPScript and SmartForms? Are they still commonly used? Will they be there for a while more?

3) Will the new technology Adobe Interactive Forms take off and how well is the acceptance rate from the market?

Please let me know. I will rate your answers. Thanks

I will try to be unbiased but I have a history with SAP and their vaporware. However, I do have a very good friend who works for them.

I believe they will struggle, A few years back they had some problems, a law suite amongst other things which rather tarnished their reputation. In Europe they sold Vendex, a huge Dutch corporation some vaporware which, the last I heard, they hadn't delivered 2 years late. They do have some good products and they do have some excellent people so I think they will survive but struggle.

There are also industry specific ERP solutions for manufacturing, project management, and supply chain management such as Microsoft Dynamics ERP.
