role does faith play in philosophy? Isn't all knowledge based upon something else? Does there come a point where truth cannot be questioned? And if so, then how can that point be percieved, and integrated, into any being that seeks after it without becoming the essence of that truth? When we become that truth; what will our perspective be like then? Will we be able to remain a sepatate part of it and be able to tell others about it? I guess what I want to know is, "Is faith (a tangible part of being), what it is that we all are seeking? --- lots of questions, i know, but; are we seeking something tangible, or intangible; and what is the nature of it?

You ask not a simple question, yet one that can easily be answered. Philosophy and Faith walk hand in hand; though one must have both to seek the truth. Only when you have found the truth can your first perception of events truly take place. So far, you've avoided the task of searching for the truth, while accepting false and skewed perceptions fro others. As they say, one must seek the truth from the "horse's mouth."
To seek the truth is the essence of both Faith and Philosophy.

You're delving into the realm of "epistomology," the study of knowledge. Many books have been written on the subject, some of them are very erudite. My opinion is that the law provides the best definition of facts: that which nearly all "reasonable" people will not question. Ultimately, you are right. All knowledge is based upon something else. Anything that wasn't would be based on nothing, and would receive few person's respect or belief. My question is: what makes this important? Isn't this mostly a mental exercise? Most matters in life don't require such depth at the fundamentals.

There are truths that cannot be questioned because they have been demonstrated to be true if by nothing more than definition. It has no bearing on faith. It is but a place to begin.

Faith is the first step of the seeker, no matter what he is seeking; knowledge, understanding, wisdom or love unconditional. Faith is love in action. True faith guides ones journey where the blind version stagnates it.

When the time comes you'll know is all I can tell you. It's embedded in you just like your questions were. In time, in time you will surely know and until then all you have to do is just live.
