well i mean is it possible for a human to get to a level of strength that would allow them to win in a head on battle between them and a healthy adult male gorilla. With no other weapons than their own strength. Is that humanly possible?

Yes, it is possible, but there is much controversy over the description and criterion. Consider the fact that the world's strongest man can lift more than a gorilla (first link give details on upper limit lifting). However, the debate as to what defines superior strength is in the second link.

In theory, that is achieveable. Gorillas use numerous the comparable positions people do. interior the overdue Nineteen Fifties, the magazine Zoologica revealed 2 photos which would be categorized as gorilla porn. in one, the male became mounting the female gorilla from the rear. in the different, they have been abdomen to abdomen able wide-spread as "the tree", with the male squatting and the female's legs wrapped around his waist. It takes reliable legs for him to try this. In prepare, why might the gorilla teach sexual interest in something as gruesome as a human lady? He'd be a lot extra in all probability to attempt to run her off as an interloper. on the different hand, if she accompanied a submissive posture, proposing her bare backside, who's elementary with?

I do not think so. Gorillas are huge!! Some weigh as much as 400 pounds of mostly compete for females muscle.

PS Typical psychologist, Aurora, dance around the evidence. The first site said nothing and the second provided nothing but baseless conjecture. I doubt any human would relish head to head competition with a gorilla!

PSS With the criteria of your additional details; the probability would be almost impossible for a man to defeat a gorilla in combat!

No. Not even...unless it's a baby gorilla, or some deformed one...then maybe, but for the most part, in a fair competition of strength, the gorilla would win.

Record weight lifting has shown that a man can lift over 586 pounds which is well over the weight of the average Gorilla which weighs in as high as 440 pounds. In the women's class the record is about 402 pounds so I don't know if she could take on a Gorilla. Maybe Magilla Gorilla. Hahahahaha! Oh! Gee! I'm sorry was that not Politically Correct?

I am guessing, probably not as the bone structure of a gorillia allow more massive muscles and an advantage is leverage.
