I too am with you. I have a sister with 3 children in the military. Her oldest is currently in England but going to Iraq in February. She is in the Air Force. One is in the Marines, curently on his second tour in Iraq and one is in the Army, has served one tour in Iraq and will return sometime in the Spring. Her youngest daughter is thinking about joining the Navy after High School.

I do know what you are talking about...
But surely... when young men enlist in the army... they must realise that the whole purpose of the army is to go to war... particulary if you live in America...
At least today... they have 9 chances out of 10 of coming back. During World War 2... they only had 4 chances out of 10...

I agree completely. I am not a parent of a service-member, but have been in the service myself. I agree that people underestimate the sacrifices/fears that the service-members family goes through.
