I just got a 360, but it really dosent seem as good as i anticipated. Is a HD tv really necessary in order to get good game play?

if you can go out right now, then yes. this is a good time to get a flat panel hdtv. i have a hp 50'' 1080p resolution widescreen, and the graphics on the nintendo wii i own are great, even without the hd cables, so yes i think a hidef tv would be a good thing to get

No, but it is differently nice. I mean I played it in regular quality, then HD and u can notice it. Not gonna make the game much better tho. I mean if u get some game like at burger king that they are selling now, it's still not gonna be like a Call Of Duty 3.

if you dont have live get that first. but if you already have live a good 1080i hdtv would be awsome. i play my 360 on my hdtv and then i played my friend's 360 on a regular 27'' projection tv and i was left unpleased. i thought to myself "damn it sucks playing on a small tv. the game looks like regular original xbox games."

nope, just get gears of war, or fight night, or even the godfather, they all have amazing graphics and run very well on a standard tv
