I've been married for just over 10 years and I feel that in my marriage I'm both needed and wanted by my wife. So I can say I'd want to be both needed and wanted. Because my wife needs me for support and help with the kids. And I like to be wanted like when she wants to spend time with me, and wants to be with me. So I would prefer both honestly.

Wanted. Definitely. If somebody is only with you because they need something from you that they can't provide for themself, then dependency may set in. AFTER the want, I would much rather hear someone say "I need you because I love you", then "I love you because I need you. Wanted is a choice, and people tend to do things they want without any encouragement. If you are needed too much (in various ways), that can put a strain on your relationship, and for some it may be an ulterior motive that keeps them with you when they really don't want to be there!!! In other words, "using you" to fulfill needs until they can find a different house, a different job, etc...

Both. A serious relationship has a lot of choices to choose from. And mostly in that relationship someone wants to be need and wanted at the same time.

Wanted. Needed is an obligation that holds people back.
Needing someone always sounds depressing and usually makes you feel tied down, which generally ends with a seperation.
I want to be wanted. Its so much hotter too, makes the love making a lot better. Imagine making love to someone who needs you to ***! haha what an obligation that totally turns you oFF!

A relationship usually starts as a "want" thing then after love comes it turns to a "need" to have the person your so desperately in love with.
So I guess the need would be better , that just means you are really really loved.

I'd rather be needed. Need is a deeper emotion. IT means without you they would have a really hard time with life. Wanting someone...I think that is more sexual or physical and they can want someone else. You can want anyone. If you really need someone it's not just anyone.

wanted. i would rather have a guy want to be with me then need to be with me because if they need to be with me it may mean that they don't like me as much they just need to be in a relationship but if they want to be with you that means they love you and like you

I'd want to be wanted. Being needed would seem like more of a task or chore but being wanted is more on a deeper level and a positive sense of security.

In a serious love relationship, I want to be wanted. When you want something, you stroke it, and do all you can do to keep it from going. When you need something, you can make yourself do without it, and find something else to occupy yourself with.
