I am in southern california, USA and advising for any country, mostly just wanting to do it for college students... I have been poking around local college's websites and haven't found anything. I'm mostly asking if anyone knows of one specific website just for this sort of job but all over the country.

Whenever you go to a university or college, one of the first people you will meet is an academic counselor. These are people who advise new students about particular courses of study that the student might be interested in. At my college, we have a study abroad director, who is in contact with just about every nation in the world at one time or another. He advises strictly about study abroad programs.
If you have already done study abroad, do it again! You need lots of experience to get the study abroad director's job. You also need at least a masters degree. Good luck!

In what country? For what country?
I don't know about websites or anything, but I do that in Lat Am. I work independently and advise many different schools who do not have counsellors who advise on study abroad. You can try that or also... travel agencies. Really, a lot of travel agencies offer study abroad programs. "Study Abroad" really means a lot of things so you might try being more specific.

You made a great choice! I studied abroad in London and absolutely loved it there! London is very safe for being such a large city. There are some sketchy areas, mainly in the East End, but overall it is very safe. I walked around the city by myself and rode the Tube by myself very often and I never felt like I was in danger. The major thing you have to worry about is pickpocketing. There were a few students in my study abroad group who had their wallets or purses stolen while they were on the Tube or while they were out shopping. Just be aware of your surroundings and keep your purse or backpack close to you, especially on the Tube, buses, and when you are in crowded areas. As long as you watch out for yourself and keep your belongings safe, you will be fine. And don't carry your passport or tons of cash with you all the time (unless you need it)- leave that stuff at your flat/dorm so that you don't have to worry about it. Have fun! London is an amazing place! (Just a side note: DO NOT bring pepper spray with you. In the US you can carry it with you, and I know some people who do, but it is illegal in the U.K. and you can be arrested for having it!)
