Put a sign up somewhere in your local community, a shop window or such asking people to keep them for you, not that it is a thing you get too many of in a household at one time, what sort of things do you make with them? Maybe ask at a supermarket, they use lots of lights, picture theatre, local council - where you could get big street lights....Most people would toss them straight in the rubbish bin.

Sometimes when a factory or school is re-doing lights, they toss out everything since it is cheaper to have all the bulbs changed at a time (the man on the ladder does all the bulbs, 'dead' or 'alive' to save time and money (rental for the tall ladder or what ever.))

Contact the local schools, factories or other govt buildings to see if they are about to re-do all the bulbs and volunteer to pick them up.
