I love Placebo!
I know that most techno/electronic bands/groups in general are not as popular here as they are in Europe. But as a native European, I can't help but stay true to my roots :)

Kasabian, The Shins, Kaiser Chiefs

Travelling through the UK last year I heard these bands a lot, and I have only recently started hearing them on the radio here in Australia.

The bands that I like that are from Europe and that are not known in the US are Sylver, Milk Inc, Lasgo, Fragma, and Ian Van Dahl. Not sure if you have heard of them.

Scissor Sisters! They're an immensely popular alt./pop. band in Britain (for a good reason too.).
