For me, it's Jennifer Love Hewitt.

Sorry about the run-on question.

I guess I should say that my friends laugh at me for listening to her, but then again they laugh at me for listening to Joey Lawrence too.

Ready? Here goes...

Bobby Goldsboro (he was probably before your time...early 70s)
Love Unlimited (Barry White's group that he formed in the 70s)
all of the Gibbs brothers: the BeeGees and Andy Gibb (70s)
Stacy Q (the 80s)
Olivia Newton-John (70s and 80s)
Neneh Cherry (early 90s)
NSync (boy band from the 90s)
Grease 1 and 2 soundtrack (been listening to them since the 70s)
Rick Springfield (70s and 80s)
***there's too much more to list; most of what I also listen to is 80s new wave and 90s grunge, but that's not really considered to be an embarrassment by most. It's really considered kind of awkward to play those that I've mentioned above around anyone I know, especially when I've got it cranked on my sound system and groovin' to those tunes. Some ppl say I am original while others just profess that I am stuck in a time warp.
Have fun with this thread!!!!! :)
Peace...

J.L. Hewitt sings? Wow, I listen to Akon excessively and some of my friends would be a little surprised if they found out I guess.

Mariah Carey. (though her 90's songs are really beautiful but she has made a ridiculous spectacle of herself for the past few years.)
