It's very common to skip a period especially if you're under a lot of stress or if you've changed your diet/exercise routine, or even if there's been a happy change in your life. Anything can upset your normal balance and throw your cycle out of whack. Unless you're having other symptoms such as abdominal pains or severe cramps, it doesn't sound like you need to worry much at this point. If you continue to have little or no period, however, it could be a cyst on one of your ovaries or some other problem and you need to have the doctor check it out.

Despite popular opinion not every woman has a period every month. However, since no one can use a magic wand to guess what this could mean, i strongly suggest a trip to the doctor or other health care provider. This will 1.)reassure you if nothing is wrong, 2)help get appropriate treatment if you need treatment. and 3) help you learn more about what is and is not normal for your body. A girlfriend or female relative can accompany you if you need help. Good luck!

Sometimes, that can be considered normal. I have had that happen also. If another month goes by without a cycle, then you should go see a doctor. If you haven't had your first pap test, now would be a good time anyway.
By the way, pap smears are NOT a scary thing. I was worried about it my first time (about your age) and it wasn't that big of a deal.
Get used to it honey, we women have weird bodys!!!
Good Luck!!!!!

You are fine. And it is normal. I havent had a period in over 2 years and I HAVE been to the doctor (plenty of them). Dont worry about it. It will not affect your body one bit. And a common misconception for females with irregular periods is that you cannot get pregnant......YES YOU CAN! So if you decide to become sexually active- BE CAREFUL! So my advice to you is to sit back and enjoy not being normal!

yeah when your early in your period years..like the first 10 years of you having a period..your cycle could become irregular based on nutrition, stress, ect. I know that once i didn't have mine for 2 whole months and i was 16 and a virgin!.

If you are stressed it can mess up your periods, or if you've lost weight or gained it can mess with it.

Before I went on birth control pills I'd only get a period every few months and then I'd get it every month and then only every few months...it was really messed up!!

So it's normal...but if you're concerned, go to a doctor! You're old enough to go on birth control and you can go on it to regulate periods- I did!

this means the hormone in your body is changing and sometimes things like this happen. You get your period regularly then suddenly it stops. Be worried only if you have menses continuously for more than a week! otherwise, you
re okay.

Here's a good solution, drink lots of hot soup, and don't eat food that's too cold(ex. ice cream)
see if it'sll come in a week or so, but if it still hasn't com, go to your doctor.
