after moving i hooked my computer up, same as before, but now the monitor says it's working fine & to please connect it to the computer. when i turn the tower on, it beeps (didn't used to) and the light comes on & i can hear the fan running. what could be wrong? could it be something as simple as getting too dusty inside or did something get knocked loose in the move? i checked all the connections & wires and everything looks like it's in order. help!

Could be that when you hooked it back up, the video card became unseated in its slot or maybe you bent or broke a pin on the connector!

dissconnect the cable and check that none of the pins have got bent, this is a common problem, if any are bent staighten them GENTLY to avoid any getting broken, when reconnecting make sure the ends are fastened securely. I hope this helps

Open the computer, and see if the fan on your graphics card is spinning. If not, there's probably another power cord that you need to plug into the card.

Try blowing in both the inserts of the back of the monitor and the plug-in.
