cosmic_quest: you just made me cringe! I think Mel Gibson had the right idea to fund his own film and block out studio interference.

I will definitley not go see this film

I don't know. I'm looking forward to it but I don't like how I keep hearing stories of how they are changing the plot to appease to Bible-Belt Americans who get all pent up over the anti-religious themes of the story. Who cares what these people think? It's not like they're going to see the film or having anything good to say about it any way. Mutilating what is an excellent plot in the book could end up producing a mediocre film that no-one wants to see.

I read the books in middle school and have been waiting for them to make movies ever since.
There is a stage adaptation, too, that I would love to see.
