I think a lot depends on the type of clothing line you want to design. If you are doing sportswear you might want a different type of name than if you were doing gowns. Much of the identity of a designer is based on their own name recognition so play around with your own name first.

Your name should reflect your personality either in style or something that is completely you. You can also just use your name if it has a nice ring to it or sounds expensive.

I think you should make up something based on your name. if you have an interesting or unique name, just lengthen or shorten it. or use a catchy version of your nick-name. actually, if the clothing is nice, it doesn't matter what its called. good luck!
