Coming from an ex-marines girlfriend, you have to just keep the faith, know that it will be your love that keeps him going, and write letters to him every chance you get. It will keep him on track, and make him the envy of every other marine there. Get a calendar and mark the times when he has leave and look forward to those, don't let anyone tell you that he won't come home, and pray for his safe return.

Well you should suppoet his decision. You will be corresponding through letters for the first three months and then after that he will come home for about 20 days unless he ghets recruiters assistance. Then he will go to MCT (MArine Combat Training) East of then Mississippi river he will go to Camp Geiger and west of the Mississippi river he will go to Camp Pendleton. And if it is meant to be yall both will stay in touch and work it out. The marines doesnt let you spend alot of time at home. THere are only a hanful of bases on the east and west coast plus japan. I hope it works out for you

Do what most every other woman does when her man leaves for the service.... move onto a new guy that doesn't have the b*lls to serve.
Hey ladies, it's not forever! If you can't wait, it's just as well he know too. He will be doing well to be rid of you.

Bad news, men cheat given the chance and the right circumstances. You should reconsider your relationship, unless you have some friends in Iraq to watch over him.

I would be proud of his serving to this country and family...In the future you never know when the benefits will be very helpful...email him often...remain loyal...hold your head up high so he knows you are strong...
