As with beginning to take any pill there are of course side-effects. People have all different kinds since everyone is different. I would consider it normal but if it goes on for more than 2 weeks I don't think I would continue with that particular brand of pills. There are a lot of birth control pills on the market and other ways of preventing pregnancy.
Also, you're moody, depressed and anxious. Reflect back on this past week and see if there is anything else that could have caused it. Anything else you started this week...anything putting extra stress on you, something bad happening to someone you care about, starting a new job or schedule...etc..

Yes, that is normal. There are many side effects of the pill and my guess is that is what your problem is. Give your body some time to adjust or talk to your doctor about maybe a different pill, like a lower dose hormone.

Yes this is a common side effect and the reason my wife stopped taking it about 10 years ago. Most of your symptoms will ease with time but depression is nothing to sneeze at. Make an appointment with your doctor and let him/her know. If you are one of the normal patients, you'll probably also gain 5 to 15 pounds. That will do nothing to help your depression, so nip it at the bud.
Also, remember to ask your doctor if he/she has you on the LOWEST effective dosage possible. That can make a world of difference.

Well if you didn't feel this way before taking the pill then you may want to ask your doctor to prescribe you a different brand of pills. I take birth control pills and I never really have any symptoms besides nausea (but that could just be the beginning of my period).

During the first month you can have side effects, it's just your body adjusting to it.
Don't worry, they do stop and you'll be fine! Just stick it out, if after a few months you're not getting better than those pills probably aren't right for you.
Also I hope you're not taking ortho tri cyclen 28 because it doesn't work. Out of all the girls I've talked to who were on it, they have gotten pregnant. I was on it but I wasn't sexually active. I'm now on alesse because tri cyclen started giving me really bad side effects...after 2.5-3 years...

I would recommend double checking with your pharmacist about the issue of the NSAIDs and the Yaz. I also tried Yasmin and had a hard time adjusting to it during the first week of use but then after 6 months I had to stop because of a different problem.

Yes. The pill wreaks havoc on your emotions and on your body. I took it for two years and would NEVER do that again! My suggestion is to try another form of birth control and see if your symptoms ease up.

It's entirely possible. After all, you are using hormones. Hormones can cause all kinds of mood issues. I'd take it for the month and see if things improve after you get used to it. If they get worse of course...call your doctor before that! If they don't get any better after finishing the pack, ask your doctor for a new type.

Yes, you're changing hormone levels in your body so as to convince yourself that you are already pregnant think about or better yet read the labels about possible side effects.
