Rookie mistake - u wanna fake something, say you gotta go to a funeral or wedding - a one-day thing. How would your boss believe that your sickness 'magically' recovered in one-day ??

I don't think I've ever been 100% healthy and called in sick.. although if I'm sick in the evening sometimes I'll call off the next day.. and then if I feel better in the morning, I will often just stay home anyway.. I'm not sure if that counts as faking or not..

Yes. In fact yesterday I called in sick. Then went skiing with my husband and kids.

Went to work when I was sick and used "sick" days as vacation days! Once I went into work without makeup and they told me I looked sick and sent me home! ;)

I called from a pay phone on a busy street corner with all my beach stuff in my truck. "I'm too sick to come in, i'll try to be there tomorrow."

Yup. I told them I had a stomach flu,but really I was in Vegas. The next day I had a wretched case of diarrhea.

I never have - I'd feel too guilty! Plus I hate it when I'm stuck at work doing three people's jobs because others couldn't be bothered to turn up. So whenever I contemplate pulling a sickie I remember that and drag myself in!

We come to work when we are deathly ill so we can use our sick times to go out when we want to.
