I have to agree with everyone else here that you aren't getting into MIT with a 2.9.

If you work hard and improve your grades, you could graduate with a GPS in the 3.2-3.5 range. This wouldn't even be good enough to get you into a graduate program incomputer engineering at MIT. But (with high scores and interesting work experience) it could get you ito their MBA program. That is your only shot at MIT.

I think it's going to be really hard for you to get into MIT with your GPA. If I were in your position, I would try to get my GPA up substantially (if you can get nothing lower than a B+ or A- for the rest of your time at USC, that would be great) and try to go to MIT for grad school. I don't even know if that would work, but I think that you have to realistically assess your chances of transferring and realize that you don't have a great shot. Try to be as happy as possible at USC for the rest of your time there, and know that everything will work out. Everything happens for a reason, right?

Sorry, not gonna happen.

I hope you've at least fulfilled their basic math requirements. However, in one semester, I don't think you have time to up your GPA enough. You don't have much time to even be eligible to apply to MIT.

If you can do something great in the math or science field in that one semester (solve some previously unsolved math problem, write a world famous program, etc), you might have a shot despite your GPA.

Read their admissions requirement and see if you even meet their basic requirements.

you truly need to work out in case you could take AP instructions. communicate on your vital and notice the style you may bypass approximately switching in. tell him how significant it somewhat is to you. your junior 12 months would be significant in exhibiting the admissions dept which you're continuously recovering and tricky your self. and it will come all the way down to what you acquire on your sat, no longer your psat... so study no longer common! possibly do an engineering internship this summer season to set you aside out of your friends and teach them the style you involved you're. call your close by college and communicate over with an engineering professor there. you may ought to take your self out of your convenience zone and do some extras which will provoke. good success! and are not getting discouraged... you nonetheless have over a 12 months to make those differences. and your grades are great... yet even honors instructions are no longer something like AP instructions... and that's what they're going to be finding for. additionally i could connect as many golf equipment as you could and do yet another game while basketball season finishes
