You will want to use the DOS command "format x:", were x is the drive letter you want to format.

To delete the content of a HDD you must format the drive.

Just FORMAT the drive and unplug it! Simple as that!

you mean wipe it clean? you can simply format or you can use something that will shred all your files. there are few free ones out there.
