I had the same question from a grandson. I explained that first and for most a normal adult will not ask to see or touch his penis and that he should never let an adult except a doctor or parent do so. Next you can explain everything he needs to know by talking with him and using your hands. It is good he asked you. Masturbation is normal and healthy you should teach him and also explain that it is a form of sex and should be done in private and kept personal. Better a loving parent teach the basics than a no nothing kid off of the street.

Well, he obviously knows about sex! Would you rather he get the information from you, or from a stranger? If you create an open atmosphere, he will turn to you. He obviously trusts you, or he would not have asked you.
I think you should get him some age appropriate information. He's GOING to learn how sooner or later. May as well be from Dad.

this is normal for kids going thru puberty. Its just what are human body does. It releases testosterone and it makes u get sexually aroused. So dont worry every kid that goes thru puberty does it or atleast tries it once in there life. I would sit down with im and talk to him and stuff. The father son talk thing about well that stuff. Just say how you fell about and he may ask you questions.So be prepared.

Thirdly, show him in an educational not sexual way

Tell him he can learn that on his own and do not discuss this anymore. Explain to him this is a very private act and never to display to others.
My folks would have beat me to a pulp if I asked such a request.
