I've never heard of doing a liver test. I took clomid for two months and had very mild side effects - just some hot flashes and a little moodiness. Is the liver test just a blood draw test or something else? I did have some blood work done before I took the comid but I never heard any mention of a liver test.

My ob/gyn didn't even bring that up as something I should do or think about. I took one round of Clomid without taking a liver test. They just got my ttc background, cycle history. My doctor did insist on a mid-cycle ultrasound after taking the Clomid to make sure I did ovulate and there were no cysts from the Clomid.

I'm glad that your doctor wants to check your liver enzymes before starting clomid, I wish my RE(Reproductive Endocrinologist) had done it.

I was on high doses of Clomid(250mg each day on days 5-9) for 8 months, and in the end, I didn't conceive and I ended up with liver scarring.

Good Luck to you, and I wish you all the best.

never heard of having a liver test....
My dr. put me on clomid. I took it this month. First round 50mg CD3-7.... no side effects other than a few hot flashes....
If I would've had a liver test I would have probably failed it.

Don't take Clomid, I took it and it made me sick and It causes miscarriages. I recommend Ovulex 100% natural and works the same. Also there is no side effects such as multiples (twins, triplets...etc.) I got pregnant in 1 month. Very cheap too, especially if you only have to buy 1 bottle : )

The doctor didn't mention anything about a liver test to me. I had other unrelated bloodwork a year earlier which did test my liver.
