As it was my first year at the Oscars i didn't know what to expect, and i wasn't to be disappointed. I did find out actually, i prefer the days of Old Hollywood, much more class. I mean seriously, have you seen Jlo, i think she was poured into that dress. Anyway, first person down the runway? None other than Tom Cruise, and boy is he promoting his latest movie, "God is my Name", as he's raving on and everyone is getting bored, I see Johnny Depp next in line getting very impatient, he finally taps Cruise on the shoulder and drawls, "is there enough room here for you and your ego?" Needless to say, Tom stormed off. Johnny Depp looked at me intently, and said "i thought he'd never shut up!"
Next in line was Robin Williams , he is in the running for best actor in a rehab movie. The interview was going well until Keira Knightly bumped into him and dumped her drink down his trousers. Williams did not fly off the handle as expected , instead he shuffled around , did a jig, and sang "a little song , a little dance, a little seltzer down your pants", he continued on , but i couldn't make out the rest as Knightly was trying to brush the drink off him and he seemed to be liking it.
Regardless i made it through the rest of the night without incident. Kind of . I snuck into the theatre after the red carpet event was over hoping to catch some of the award show. Unfortunatly, security caught me lurking about, and rather than go quietly, i ran towards the stage, just as they announced that Beyonce won an oscar, she got out into the aisle and her high heel caught me and i was going down. As i started to trip, Heath Ledger caught me in his arms. ( Be still my heart). He looked at me, smiled his crooked smile, and said " I knew when we talked outside you were falling for me!" Next year i'm wearing sneakers.

I'm standing around at the Oscars waiting on the stars to show when I see Joan Rivers. I think to myself "wow, I think she was poured into that dress" As I'm wondering if she has been under the knife yet AGAIN...Tom Cruise has just walked up. While he is rambling on and on about his new movie, his new wife, his new baby, etc, I just want to ask him if there is enough room here for you AND your ego! But he eventually shuts up and moves on just in time for me to see Johnny Depp looking at me intently, which makes me stumble. As I started to trip, Heath Ledger caught me in his arms (be still my heart). As I'm talking to Heath and reminding myself to breathe, I notice his girlfriend, Michelle Williams, shooting me evil glares, so I wrap up my interview with Heath. I begin to look around for more celebrities but most are already in the theater...until I see Danny Devito! I call him over and ask him about his afterparty plans. He responds "a little song, a little dance, a little seltzer down your pants", which makes me think he has been out drinking with Clooney again. On that strange note, I leave my TV viewers with this final though "Actually, i prefer the days of Old Hollywood...much more class."
