Glucose is USED in glycolysis. To be exact, one glucose is broken into 2 pyruvates at the end of Glycolysis. The 2 pyruvates then can either go to anaerobic (no oxygen) or aerobic respiration depends on the conditions and/or the organism. At the end, a net of 2 ATP (energy) is produced in glycolysis.
