Upper-middle class
(I studied at a reputed University and I work to give my children a better education, but really think that money cannot determine a person's value)
What class are YOU?

How about using some proper sociological terms rather than the typical "mush" terms? In capitalist countries, there are really only two general classes: proletariat and bourgeoisie. Each of those is further divided. The proletariat has the "lumpen" proletariat who are mostly under- and/or unemployed. The bourgeoisie has the petit-bourgeoisie who are the small store owners. Along the way there is the "professional" class that most closely fits in with the petit-bourgeois. The reason that these distinctions are important is that they more closely pertain to the actual relationships of people in society. For example, a highly-paid auto worker could actually take home more money than a small shopkeeper who is not doing very well. However, they would still be in different classes because of their different relationships to the means of production.
You would win a mega-lotto and have a couple of hundred million dollars, but that would not automatically make you part of the bourgeois class. For that, you would need to own a company and exploit wage labor.

I started out in life as lower upper working-class, moved to lower lower middle-class, but now have achieved between higher middle middle-class and lower upper middle-class.
But you can just call me a working-class slob.

I'm lower class. And if you think your better then me, e-mail me your address and we can go toe to toe. I hate every one in every class above me, and most of the people in my class. the class system is a way for those in power in a society to organize their peons by the jobs they need done. Lower class is raw physical labor, middle in desk-sitting paper work BS, and upper are the demons in power or the masks they hide behind. Slavery isn't dead, just more racially diverse

Class cannot be determined by how much money a person has, always remember that! Economically my family is lower class to answer what you mean, though. We're "seeking first the Kingdom and His righteousness" as Jesus advised at Matthew 6:33, so we aren't overly anxious about our lack of moolah and are a purdy happy family! :)
