Advantage the kitty. Then any flea that bites it will instantly die, so bunny should be safe.

Don't bother with the flea collars, they are a waste of money and they do not work, they just chase the fleas away from the cats neck.Get a good flea control product like Frontline and similar products, I found one by Hartz that uses natural ingredients that works very well. Check your rabbit carefully for fleas, I mean really close up, our cats had fleas and we looked at the rabbit and didn't see any, our rabbit died with a ton of fleas on him and we didn't even know he had them, it was heartbreaking. Why do the people in your neighborhood want to kill an innocent kitten? I would move away from people like that.

Go to your local pet store (a big one, not a little privately owned one) or a vet in your area. Buy 'Advantage' flea control. Frontline is good but this past summer, many people complained that it wasn't working as well as it has in the past (fleas become resistant). There will be directions on the package. Flea baths and flea dips are very dangerous to cats and kittens if you don't get the right kind, and flea collars ONLY KEEP FLEAS OFF THEIR NECK! They don't work, not to mention that if you accidentally put a dog flea collar on a cat, it can kill it! Try Advantage or Frontline. Both are safer choices.

Also, if the kitten has very pale gums, you may need to get it to a vet because kittens can get 'flea anemia' pretty easily. Their bodies are small and fleas can drain too much of their blood, which causes the anemia. Good luck!

Whatever you do, don't use Hartz flea spray. Luckily, it's caused no damage, but our vet told us that Hartz products can cause neurological problems (seizures, etc) in cats and dogs.

We had the same problem with our now 6-month old kitten. Our vet gave us Advantage and it worked great. We also invested in a flea comb (cheap buy at Wal-Mart). When you go to comb the kitty, get an old shallow bowl or cup and fill it with warm, soapy water to clean the comb out every so often. Fleas can't escape the soapy water so it eventually kills them. It does take some time, but between the two things, it should help. We've only had to do one treatment and haven't had a problem since. Roxy is an inside cat though...outside cats may need more treatments.

Try using those "on skin surface" types of flea repellant for the kitten! And also, why would ur kitten be near the rabbit in the first place!? Keep them seperate and make sure ur rabbits closure is clean at all times!

if you want to be sure that the cat is safe from toxans as well as the rabit i suggest buying this stuff you put on your carpet. it is all natural it comes from the forest floor and what it does to kill the fleas is covers them with this stuff (it's a powerd). see the fleas live in the carpet hence the reason for covering your carpet with it but also the reason it kills the fleas is not because it's toxic to them but rather it suffocates the because fleas breath through their exo skeletons ( their entire body does the breathing). also i suggest no using advantage because although it works great it is toxic to animals thats why you put it on the back of their necks so they CAN NOT lick it off so i suggest looking for natural things you can buy from stores that is your best bet.

put a flea collar on the cat and keep the cat away from the rabbit.
Maybe you could let the rabbit out in the day and the cat at night.
you could also use flea powder, flea bath?
