BrainyBetty...good site.

Here is the easiest way to get those backgrounds into your presentation.

Go to the very first slide.

Select Insert, Slides from Files. Then Browse to the BB PP presentation and select it. In the bottom part of the dialog box you'll see her presentation. Select the slide by clicking on it. It will work like a toggle. One click it's selected, click again it will deselet. Then check the Keep Source Formatting box. This will keep her background and template in tact. Then choose insert.

This will bring a blank slide into your presentation which you can move around. This template is now added to your Slide Design selection for this presentation. To add other slides with this background, you can choose Format, Slide Design. A task plane on the right should appear and you will be able to see and select it. Be careful you don't choose apply to all slides if you only want certain slides to have that background.

Bonus tip....any time you want to merge two PP presentations with different backgrounds, always use the insert, slides from files method. Make sure you check the keep source formatting box or it will bring those slides into your presentation on the original background.

Good luck.
