well ive installed it just fine. my pc surpasses the reccomended requirements but when i start it up it says ORIGINAL DISK COULD NOT BE FOUND OR AUTHENTICATED. th disk is original. i bought it from ebay. the serial worked fine when imwas prompted to put it in. so whats wrong?

well i have just reinstalled andthe game is playing perfect now. what happened the first time?

uve been ripped off, most games are copies on ebay, put it down to a lesson learnt

Can you be absolutely sure it's not a fake CD? Software piracy is a multi-million dollar business, so they are good at making fakes look like the real thing. One thing you can try, if you have multiple CD drives, make sure you have the disk in the FIRST drive (logically) irrespective of which drive the game was installed from. Obviously, if it's a DVD and your first drive is a CD-RW, then you cannot do this. In which case, you might need to unplug the drive so your system only sees the DVD Drive.

NEVER SHOP AT EBAY BECAUSE THEY ARE SPAM. AND THEY SAY IT ORIGINAL BUT THEY ONLY GIVE THE INSTALLER BUT NOT THE GAME.
