Some people believe that we should get rid of the penny and round everything to the nearest nickel, others say that we should keep the penny, what do you believe?

Some also say that we should simply round everything to the nearest dime and say, "the heck with the nickels too!" What is your opinion on that versus just getting rid of the penny?

Yes, progress. It costs more to make them than they're worth. I think that's also true for the nickel. Watch out nickel ... you might be next.

Keep the penny. If we get rid of it, the nickel will become the new penny.

Keep it. It'll be cheaper for us. If something is $1.03, they'll round it off to a nickel and charge us an extra 2 cents. Keep it.

THAT IS RETARDED! IF THEY GET RID OF THE PENNY THEN HOW WOULD BE PAY TAXES? LETS SAY A SNICKERS BAR IS $1 AND U PAY TAXES IN DEKALB COUNTY, GA. THAT WAY IT WILL COST $1.07. NOW HOW WILL U PAY THAT? U WILL HAVE TO PAY AN EXTRA 3 CENTS. IT WOULD BE RIDICULOUS!
