what do you think about people who drive around on rented rims flexin but paying notes on the rims like its a car and if they miss a payment, the rims get taken back and resold as used? just asking because i was thinking about just renting to buy them but found out its much higher and too much of a hassle and a waste of money.

The whole wheel/tire rental business is a scam to take money off people to dumb to count. Just like renting a TV. Or the Lottery.

If you stay in school and do your math, you'll see that you wind up paying 2x or 3x for wheels. DUMB!

If you do not have the money to pay cash or you don't have the credit to buy them....GUESS WHAT??? You can't afford them!

It's much more expensive than an outright purchase, or even buying on a credit card.

Still, I have sometimes wanted to walk into one of those "we rent rims" places and ask what their rate would be if I wanted to rent a set of wheels and tires for just a weekend. I doubt they'd let me rent them for a weekend, though, if they knew I didn't plan on returning them with much tread left.
