There is a procedure called Embolization. You may want to mention it to your doctor. My aunt had it done and it worked wonders for her.

When my PCP did an ultrasound, he didn't even express a concern about me having a fibroid. There are alternatives and even all natural treatments to reduce the symptoms.

Also there is this "If you have fibroids and you don't want a hysterectomy, you should know about Uterine Fibroid Embolization."

I have heard that there is now another procedure that they can do. I had a hysterectomy 6 years ago. I'm going to do some more searching and if I do find a link I'll get back to you.

unless your having extreme problems you don't need to treat most spontaneously resolve and shrink with menopause. if your having problems than a hysterotomy which is where they go in and remove just the fibroid.. fibroid sometimes cause pain esp during your cycle as it interferes with the uterine muscles ability to contract and slough off inter uterine lining that occurs with your cycle

No you don't have to have a hysterectomy. There are many natural remedies that will get rid of the tumor. Such as, red rasberry and black cohosh herbs...

Get a second opinion, lots of time it could just be a small zit that will go away on its own.
