I've gained 8lbs and I'm 22 weeks :)
You seem to be right on schedule. My doctor is actually really pleased with my weight gain, so I wouldn't worry :) It is possible to lose weight during pregnancy especially if you're eating healthier, or if you were overweight when you got pregnant.
Congratulations and Good Luck.

Maybe, like it was on my case when I found out that I was expecting it was because I started feeling nauseous and dizzy and when I went to the doctor I was 10 weeks already and didn't know. I was 161 lbs at the begining and then with the horrible pregnancy I had with things like fainting, vomiting, ext.., in less than a month I went down to 141 lbs exactly, equals to 20 lbs in a short period of time. Thankfully everything was ok and then by the end of the pregnancy I went to 171 lbs. So I gain 30 lbs during the entire process. Remember that when our body is not getting fats and junk food it will automatically lose weight, just make sure that your doctor assure you that everything is perfect with you and the baby. Good luck, take care.

It all depends on several factors...one especially being how severe your morning sickness is/was...
I'm 25 weeks pregnant and wasn't overly sick in the beginning of my pregnancy. However, since I was overweight to start with and have been eating healthier etc...I've actually lost nearly 25 pounds since finding out I was pregnant.
As long as your doctor has made sure that the baby is doing well and growing as it should and isn't worried about you losing weight, I wouldn't worry about it either. Just make sure you are eating a healthy diet, drinking plenty of fluids and taking your prenatal vitamins.

7 lbs is just fine for 23 weeks. When I was around 23 weeks, I hadn't gained anything - but I had awful morning sickness up until that point. But now I'm 40 weeks and have gained about 30 lbs. So don't worry about how little you've gained up to this point... you'll probably average out in the end. Just keep eating healthy food and exercise if you can.

You shouldnt lose weight while pregnant. Im 28 weeks and have gained around 20 pounds. By 28 or 29 weeks you should normally have gained 15 to 23 pounds. So if youve only gained 7 then your doing just fine with not gaining alot. Ive always gained 30 pounds each pregnancy. Always lose it too.

i accually lost 9 pounds within my first 4 months of being pregnant, the morning sickness was so bad i couldnt eat and everything i drank came back up, but my doc got me back on track when the morning sickness was over and now ill be 35 weeks tomorrow and i have gained 29 pounds so far, my doc said im doing really good. but she also said that everyone is different when it comes to gaining weight, what is normal for some may not be normal for others, if it concerns you then you should have a chat with your doc, they will let you know whats going on with your weight.

I typically would lost 15 before even gaining just for being sick in the beginning. You typically really pack on the pounds during the third trimester - like a pound a week. You have plenty of time, and I am sure you will gain plenty of weight by the end of the pregnancy!

Yes sweetie, it is possible. I only gained 13 pounds in my whole pregnancy. I lost a couple of pounds in the beginning because I was in a lot of stress since the baby's father left me. I started gaining weight around the 5th month.
Talk to your doctor to find the cause of you loosing weight....
