Gorgias theory that nothing exsits:
1. Nothing exists,
2. Even if something exists, nothing can be known about it; and
3. Even if something could be known about it, knowledge about it can't be communicated to others.
So therefore I believe that nothing exists ;)
I took a logic class and that theory always stuck with me.... Really makes you think... Or just really hurts your head.

AM,
Yes. Even an infant believes that it will receive care or, expects care, when it cries. When others interact with it, that reinforces its belief.
We are three in one. We are spirit or self, we have a mind and we reside within a body. People need compassion and love to feed the spirit, mind and body and believe that they can receive that from others who are like themselves. We have God to take up any slack.

Oh, of course. The type of denial we're seeing now is no more than a latter day phenomenon. Even that isn't taking very well in view of consequence. I'm only answering the bold type as the subtext gets a little confusing.

Yes I agree with you. I should really say that the bible agrees- in Romans it says that even people who are not under (scriptural) law are a 'law to themselves'. Even those who don't worship a God believe in obeying an inner voice.

Yes, of course they do. You have to believe in something... not necessarily religious ... even if you only believe your own point of view about something - you believe in SOMETHING.

The obvious answer is a resounding YES.Show me one that doesn't and I'll show you someone who on judgement day will wish to God that they had.The fear of death will definitely draw you closer to God, Death itself will put you right on His doorstep.

We all believe in something - good or bad.
Do you believe in someone, in yourself, in this world, in God?
