Clinched Home Field means that that team is the No. 1 seed in the playoffs and will not play any playoff games away from home except for the Super Bowl. The Bears and Chargers have clinched home field this year. Last year, it was the Colts and Seahawks, etc.

This means that they have clinched the advantage of having all their playoff games up until the Super Bowl played at their home stadium. This is very significant because those teams get the field and weather conditions that they are used to, as well as the crowd support. This year, the Bears and the Chargers have home field advantage.
