I have a client that has a SFR located in Kerman, CA. I need to know what year the house was built in order to order appraisal, the client has no idea, it doesn't show up on the datasource property profile nor the preliminary title report?

Anyone know any tips or tricks to find out???

PLEASE Mortgage professionals ONLY answer this question. I don't have time to field b/s answers. Thanks!

The assessors office should have data from the time of first occupancy permit issuance. The Electrical panel often will have a sign off from when the electrical inspection was passed or the permit issued. Sometimes toilets will have a date of manufacture stamped inside the lid. Really old houses can have these things updated and might not be reflective of exact age but will be able to be used in most cases for effective age which appraisers often use anyway.

Look for the county appraiser office. Its Fresno county. I looked for the website but I don't think they have real estate records online. You might have to go the office.

The inside of the toilet bowls usually show the dates of manufacture to the day of the commode.
