My initial response to your question was going to be TIME. But then, as I was reading others' answers, I realized that I'm not wasting time - I'm choosing how to spend my time and normally enjoying it - just not perhaps spending it as society tells me I should.

I think there's too much pressure these days on doing too much and doing it too fast. Instead of listening to and obeying the natural rhythms of life, we're all trying to keep step with the mechanistic world's beat, and it just keeps going faster and faster, and we feel worse and worse as we fall further and further behind.

So my answer will not be time, because the time I'm "wasting" is, most often, the time I truly own.

My answer, instead, will be Trust.

Too often I trust the wrong people, rules of thumb, or concepts. Sometimes I trust people who should be or have been trustworthy but are, for some reason, not. And sometimes I let down people who are relying on me, thereby wasting their trust.

I have to keep remembering that none of us are perfect (most importantly, me), but we're all trying, best we can, and to easily forgive, as much and as often as possible.

Forgiving myself seems the easiest thing to forget.

I feel like I still have time, but is that a sign of future waste? I don't know why but I always feel funny when I'm in the car with someone.. I just think about how we're using gas, polluting, and dragging a heavy object down the highway just to get to the mall... I wish the world could naturally move around without the traffic ya know? but does that mean wasting time? is everyone always in a hurry?

Time... sometimes I feel like i'm wasting my time when i spend my days doing nothing much beneficial to me. I waste time stuck in a job that i know i can not go far in because i don't like it, but at least this job contributes to my bank account, though it has taken almost 2 years from me.

Youth... year after year go by and i add another year to my age each time without making full use of my youth (eg. perhaps try out for modelling or advertisements since i am still in the suitable age group for it)

And food... i don't waste food all the time but it happens occasionally when you hate the taste of something, or when you don't want to let that extra bite go into your waistline... that's when food go to waste
