No he doesn't deserve respect, he took it like a man yes, inside himself he knew he had to pay the price for all the murders he committed, during his reign people were dumped alive into branch trees shredders by his sons with his consent..☺

In a way it was brave but in some it was also pride and something like disgusting the public. He refused to wear the hood; that might be pride, or disgusting the public eye. What was somewhat brave was that he did not say a word when the guards leading him there taunted him, or wshen spectators recorded it on their cellular phones, which was very disrespectful and demoting. For the most part, yes, because this was a very rushed event that they just wanted done with no real reason. Especially the morning of Eid al-Adha. That sickens me the most.

Yes, he took it like a man. He had to be scared, but I grudgingly respect the fact that he stood by his convictions to the end, and wanted everyone to be forced to see his face as he died.
Does that make him a respectable person, or any less of a b*stard for torturing and killing thousands of people? No way.
Good riddance to bad rubbish, as my grandma would say.

No he did not face his excution bravely, and what do you mean by bravely anyways? The fact that he didn't talk **** to the guards that were excuting him like he did to the judge that was prosecuting him? He refused to even wear the cover that goes over the head, and to be hanged with his face showing! He's too good to have his face covered? So the answer is no, Saddam Hussein did not face his execution bravely, he faced his execution with acception of defeat.

Not at all. He had the look of disbelief as thought he never thought they would go through with it. Too bad they didn't put a bullet in the back of his head just like he had done to all those he butchered. How can you respect a piece of crap like him? The world is a better place without him. I hope his buddy OBL was watching because that's exactly what is going to happen to him when they get him.

Yes, I do. Very bravely. He should be respected for his courage. I think the death penalty is barbaric.

I will agree that he did not break down and cry like a liberal baby, but he still was a mass murderer! Nothing brave about that!

I have heard that he did. I refuse to watch the video. It is shameful that the world still uses the death penalty.
