Not such good luck if they are crawling all over your house. Actually, we have had that problem here in Minnesota the past two years, as well. Though what you might have are not actually lady bugs but some kind of Japanese Beetles. They look EXACTLY like lady bugs. The best thing to do, according to all the news reports here, is to suck them up in the vacuum. You can also spray a mix of 3 parts water to one part vinegar around your windows and doors. This supposedly keeps them at bay. Hope this helps! Good luck. OOPS!! Did not answer WHY your house was crawling with these little buggers all year long...apparantly, they just came over from another country and have pretty much taken over. LOTS of people are having the same problem with them.

Most likely, they're Asia beetle bugs. They released a bunch of these is my area about five years ago to combat a fly problem. They ate the fly larvae, which took care of the flys, but they remained. They are a nusance and get into everything. I would recommend an exterminator. For a few hundred bucks, they will be gone for at least a year. I had my house sprayed four years ago and have'nt had much of a problem since. Good luck.
