It doesn't matter if Osama is dead or alive, he still serves the same purpose. Without a body, the myth of Bin Laden will live on for as long as its politically expedient to trot him out to justify further agression against our so called enemies.

Bin Laden has a long history of involvement with the USA. Allegedly he was a CIA asset given the name Tim Osman and allowed to live in Florida for many years. During the 80's Bin Laden was our golden boy agaist the Russians in Afganistan. The Bin Laden family prior to this had developed close ties with a family here in the USA we are all familiar with, the Bush family. The bin Laden family has been in business with Bushes for over thirty years. Bush Senior and the bin Ladens vacation together. The Bushes and the bin Ladens were on the board of the armament dealing consortium, the Carlyle group whose profits have quadrupled since 9/11.

As Clinton did in the 90's and Bush Jr. does to this day, the use of Bin Laden as a spector of all that is bad has been effective in scaring the uninformed and easily mislead american public. We are told that this Bin Laden guy from a cave in Afganistan's Tora Bora area somehow carried out a plan that defeated the most powerful military ever with mere box cutters.

Somehow NORAD was decieved by Bin Laden's military genius. Somehow the standing orders to intercept hijacked aircraft within 10-20 minutes was thwarted by the nefarious Bin Laden. Somehow steel structures not even hit by suicide aircraft (WTC7) collapsed all because of the diabolical Bin Laden in his cave in Afganistan.

By all accounts Bin Laden was severly ill and had loss the use of his kidneys in the summer of 2001 prior to 9/11 when it was reported that the CIA asset Bin Laden was being treated in a Dubia US Military hospital.

Likely dead. There haven't been any communications from the guy that were proven to be recent in a long time. The last one was definitely him, but there was no way to prove if it was recent or just an old voice recording. Personally, I think he's worm poo.

Well for the amount of tv appearances he makes I would assume he is alive and well in a cave somewhere.
