How about a quiet evening at home - make his favorite dinner and eat by candle light. Just sit and visit. It will be better than you think.

Tell him thank you from all of us for serving our beautiful country.

I'd give him everything he missed while he was gone. If you have children, get a sitter for a couple of nights and spend some quality time with him. Fix his favorite foods; indulge him in a full body massage; go for walks someplace scenic and talk. Be affectionate, be loving but let him set the pace when it comes to being intimate. The last suggestion is because I think your husband will need some time to get his feet on the ground. He'll be transitioning from a war zone to a place the complete opposite of that. Maybe I'm crazy, but the first night or two it may be enough for him to be in your arms. Men are already sensitive when it comes to "demands" for sex, and this is no ordinary situation.

Make his homecoming welcoming, intimate and comforting. Let him feel the depth of your love for him.

Well, all of the above are good answers. My husband was just home for his two weeks of R&R and his most favorite thing to do was to just relax and hang out with me and our baby. Whoever said that all they want is "normal" was right--Although, I did plan a huge party for a couple days after he got home and that turned out really well...Everyone liked the idea too! I would say they best thing would be to make his favortite meal and then go from there!

Plastic wrap, whipped cream, and ummm, a great bow in the time of your chest that he has to take off to hug you and kiss you. unquestionably, something which you positioned somewhat some own concept in is appropriate. Asking at right that's not the appropriate. i replaced into in Iraq two times, and once I have been given abode, not something replaced into greater significant to me than understanding that she concept approximately me whilst i replaced into long previous and made somewhat some attempt once I have been given back. i don't be attentive to if he has been away in the previous, yet i visit declare that probability is, he will choose some awareness from you for a rapid whilst as quickly as he first gets back. this is unlike the different adventure in the international, and this is not a large one. wish issues paintings out for you. :-)

When a man comes home from deployment he doesn't want special. He wants normal. He wants his wife looking pretty, his house clean and his kids happy.

Trust me.

have a picnic.
rent a hotel and put rose petals and candles everywhere (or at home).
throw a party with all friends and family.
if you have kids have them make a sign.
run to him like in the movies. :)
dinner and a movie.
have a game night.
set aside a time where you just relax and talk.

I don't know if you guys have e-mail communication...(my husband is over there and he does)
But start exchanging some e-mails making plans for what you want to do. be completely candid, and when he gets home, after he gets over the jet lag, set about your plans.
