They have an inseam of 32.5", and if they shrink, they are going to be too short. I couldn't find any talls, so I had to go with a medium. Would it help if I didn't put them in the dryer?

This is the best method I have found to care for jeans:

1 - Turn them inside out, this helps keep the outer finish from wearing and fading too quickly.
2 - Machine wash in cold water, gentle cycle, on the Permanent Press/Knits setting. Use a mild detergent and fabric softener. The Knit setting is usually the shortest time setting on a washer. Unless your pants are really filthy this is enough.
3 - Turn the jeans right side out, then stretch back into shape.
4 - Line dry.
5 - If your jeans feel stiff after they are dry, and a few shakes does not loosen them up, you can tumble them in the dryer set on a No-Heat setting for a few minutes.

I do this with even "pre-shrunk' jeans, no sense taking any chances.

Don't put your jeans in the dryer if you don't want them to shrink. I've had the same problem before and after a few times in the dryer I couldn't even put the jeans on! Good luck. :)

Do not dry your jeans in the dryer, in fact if your really brave, put them on a little bit damp.

Jeans only skrink when you wash them in very hot water and put them in the dryer. I would suggest washing in cold water and air drying them or drying them on low.

It will help alot if you don't put them in the dryer. Wash them in cold water, shake them out and let them air dry.

I DONT dry any of my jeans because I don't want them to shrink....
thats your best bet anyway.....I have been doing it for along time now. I do recommend that you use fabric softener when you wash your jeans, they come out really hard and stiff if you don't.
