It's a 2001 Ford Focus. It has had a tune-up and oil change. There are times when dirving it, it doesn't seem to get the gas and it tends to stop often when it is under 30 mph. I had a timing belt put on as well.

could be a bunch of things.. like the other guys/gals said, everything from a sensor to blocked cat., to bad ignition components. Let me know the year, make and model of your car and any other info. like it stays running at 25 if i am coasting, if i push in the clutch it will stall, does not idle, no power etc.

Let me know if you have any other questions. feel free to give me a yell at 866-712-1984 or email wgarrison@logixautoparts.com

Best wishes in the New Year!!!

Your mechanic probably left something loose or put the t-belt on wrong. if you just had it serviced and then these problems just started after wards, it may be related, even if it was a couple of months ago.

Then again, why did you have the t-belt replaced? Was it due? Or was your car having problems and a t-belt service was supposed to fix your car? Sometimes a mechanic may be clueless with these newer cars, even dealership mechanics. Nowadays, young people don't want to be techs and get dirty. They want clean office jobs and to make the big bucks. Who does that leave to fill in the shoes of mechanics? Those who can't cut it as Benz techs go to work for ford.

It could be the air cleaner or one of several sensors. The O2 sensor is a common problem. You can use a code reader at the Auto Zone for free with a deposit. This plugs into a socket under your dash and may tell you what's wrong.

You could have clogged Fuel Injectors. Have the injectors flushed out.
